Danielle Elkins

Danielle Elkins is a strategic consultant at the cross section of architecture & engineering, technology and government. Her specialty is helping companies, startups and non-profits work with state and local government to solve regional issues. Danielle studied civil engineering and architecture at the University of Southern California and early in her career was a transportation design engineer in California. Before starting her own consulting firm, Civic Ideation, Danielle was a Government Affairs Director for CH2M, a Fortune 500 engineering firm. She's a recognized leader in local and state transportation policy and has worked with the US Conference of Mayors and National League of Cities to educate local elected officials on transportation trends. She has been in leadership roles for Women in Transportation Seminars, Young Professionals in Transportation and is on the Transportation Research Board - Transportation Issues in Major Cities Standing Committee. As part of her role on the Atlanta Regional Commission's Millennial Advisory Committee, she founded and is now President of a non-profit, Advance Atlanta, which advocates for a better regional transit system in the Atlanta. Danielle served as a mentor for the 2017 Spring Semester for Lab Atlanta as an alumna of the LEAD Atlanta leadership program.
